All the darkness in the world cannot put out the light of a single candle This site is designed to be simply a networking portal. This Knowledge Source site is not designed to convince anyone of anything. I will simply present links to information that can expand your horizons and allow you to be more effective in making a difference in our lives and world. Hopefully one of these sites, if not more, will truly inspire you. Check back often to see what new links have been added; then click and expand your mind. Just always be sure to keep an open mind without being a slave to all you hear. Each link will be preceded by a brief description of what it leads to.

Consider taking a moment and not rushing through these important links with lessons to be learned.. When we read or hear something powerful or which touches us deeply, the tendency in this modern world is to quickly move on to the next thing, to check that one off the list and continue without pause.
The invitation here is to break this pattern and spend a few moments in contemplation digesting whatever message these pieces might have for you. Consider stopping now and spending a few moments in quiet meditation. If one piece  calls to you, go back and read it or watch it again to absorb any hidden wisdom you may have missed on the first pass.

Sometimes unwanted or unexpected challenges, difficult situations, and even pain can teach us important lessons that in the long run help us to more powerfully be the change in our world.

Love and intimacy are the root of what makes us sick and what makes us well. I am not aware of any other factor in medicine - not diet, not smoking, not exercise, not drugs - that has a greater impact on our quality of life, incidence of illness and premature death.

Quality of Life
Inspiring Ideas on Taking Responsibility for Our Lives

Choosing a Quality Life

By choosing to see and inspire the creator not only in yourself, but in all you meet, you can create powerful transformation in your life and world. If you have spent a lot of time in victim mode, it may not be easy to make the shift, but it is entirely possible. By exploring your core issues and working to transform them, and by choosing to stop the need to place blame and instead take responsibility for your life, you can make the shift. There will most certainly be times where you slip back into old patterns. But by continually reminding yourself of your intention to be a creator, you can transform your life.
None of us is perfect. We all have made and will continue to make mistakes and bad choices in our lives. When we fail, there is no need to blame ourselves or anyone else. We can choose to simply accept that we didn't do what we had intended and then work to understand why, so that we might do better the next time. Notice when you find yourself blaming yourself or others. Then stop for a moment. Take a look inside and ask, is it really empowering you to place blame, even if you believe it is very well deserved? Is this the quality of life you want, or is there something better and more fulfilling?

The Secret Government:
The Constitution in Crisis
A PBS Documentary
“The National Security Act of ‘47 gave us the National Security Council. Never have we had a National Security Council so concerned about the nation’s security that we’re always looking for threats and looking how to orchestrate our society to oppose those threats. National Security was invented, almost, in 1947, and now it has become the prime mover of everything we do as measured against something we invented in 1947."

“Look for the gifts in everything, especially when you are facing what appears to be a negative situation. Everything that we attract causes us to grow, which means that ultimately everything is for our own good.
Adjusting to a new path and a new direction will require new qualities and strengths, and these qualities are always exactly what we need to acquire in order to accomplish the great things ahead in our life.”

Health Cover-up Summary
"The combined profits for the ten drug companies in the Fortune 500 ($35.9 billion) were more than the profits for all the other 490 businesses put together ($33.7 billion) [in 2002]. Over the past two decades the pharmaceutical industry has moved very far from its original high purpose of discovering and producing useful new drugs. Now primarily a marketing machine to sell drugs of dubious benefit, this industry uses its wealth and power to co-opt every institution that might stand in its way, including the US Congress, the FDA, academic medical centers, and the medical profession itself."

There is a vitality, a life force, an energy ... that is translated through you into action. There is only one you in all time. This expression is unique. If you block your unique expression, it will never exist through any other medium. The world will not have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is. Web of Love
The Web of Love is an energetic web which connects the sacred essence of all beings in our world. In that deepest part of our beings, there is in each of us a beautiful, divine essence which wants nothing more than to love and be loved. The Web of Love, though invisible to our eyes, interconnects all of us through that deepest essence. It literally surrounds and envelops our planet and all who live here. We are all interconnected through sacred love. It is up to each of us how much we choose to be aware of this connection.
We are all capable of giving and receiving limitless amounts of love. Many of us have forgotten this and ended up feeling alone or uncared for in our lives. The Web of Love reminds us of our true nature. It is a call to join together in sharing the abundance of love that flows within and between us all through consciously connecting with the web.

Major Government, Military Corruption
Trillions Missing at Defense Department
"'According to some estimates we cannot track $2.3 trillion in transactions,' Rumsfeld admitted. $2.3 trillion — that's $8,000 for every man, woman and child in America."

“The Dalai Lama's proclamation last year that "the world will be saved by the Western woman" only highlighted the reality that awakening women are emerging as the leaders of the global change movement.”
"The Keys to Feminine Power: Awakening the 3 Power Bases of the Co-Creative Feminine,"
Never before have we, as women, been holding so much power to shape the future.
Paradoxically, studies show that we've never
been more unhappy.
Despite the amazing success and privilege we’ve gained over the past 50 years, numerous studies continue to reveal a startling truth: that women’s overall sense of happiness and well-being has actually been on a significant and steady decline since the early 1970s.
In fact, the majority of women today experience a profound and painful gap between the highest potentials we intuit for our lives and the way that our lives actually show up on a day to day basis.
We sense the possibility for so much more….
We’ve been cultivating a masculine version of power.
By wholeheartedly embracing a masculine version of power (that was so necessary to level the playing field 50 years ago), we’ve dramatically elevated our standard of living, while at the same time, severely diminishing our quality of life.
We now have more freedom, money, education and opportunity than any other generation of women in history. Yet we often feel powerless to create those things we most value and care about: love, intimacy, connection, belonging, creativity, self-expression, aliveness, meaning, purpose, contribution and a brighter future for generations to come.
We think our struggle to create these things we long for is a personal failure—but it’s actually a collective problem, symptomatic of our larger evolutionary journey as women. The restlessness we’re feeling is actually a critical calling, an impulse to evolve.
Awakening a new, co-creative feminine power holds the key to our personal and planetary potential”

The War On Waste
January 29, 2002, CBS News
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2002/01/29/eveningnews/main325985.shtml

On Sept. 10 [2001], Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld declared war. Not on foreign terrorists, "the adversary's closer to home. It's the Pentagon bureaucracy." He said money wasted by the military poses a serious threat. Rumsfeld promised change but the next day—Sept. 11—the world changed and in the rush to fund the war on terrorism, the war on waste seems to have been forgotten. President Bush announced, "my 2003 budget calls for more than $48 billion in new defense spending." More money for the Pentagon ... while its own auditors admit the military cannot account for 25 percent of what it spends."According to some estimates we cannot track $2.3 trillion in transactions," Rumsfeld admitted. $2.3 trillion—that's $8,000 for every man, woman and child in America. A former Marine turned whistle-blower is risking his job by speaking out ... about the millions he noticed were missing from one defense agency's balance sheets. Jim Minnery, Defense Finance and Accounting Service ... tried to follow the money trail, even crisscrossing the country looking for records. "The director looked at me and said 'Why do you care about this stuff?' It took me aback. My supervisor asking me why I care about doing a good job," said Minnery. He was reassigned and says officials then covered up the problem. The Pentagon's Inspector General "partially substantiated" several of Minnery's allegations.

9/11 Research 60-Page Summary
Verifiable Research on 9/11
Summary of 9/11 Research Compiled by Paul Thompson

“To most people war is a supreme evil to be avoided if at all possible. And yet, we go right on having wars. To those who rule nations, war is a tool of power which is used deliberately. War provides the perfect excuse for a government to impose increased controls on its own people. By citing 'national security' the government can persuade the people that even highly dictatorial controls are for their own good.” - A quote from Peter Beter, appointed Counsel to the U.S. Export-Import Bank by John F. Kennedy

Turner broadcasting filmed a highly unusual documentary focused on the intriguing stories of five former CIA agents. Every one of these agents was originally excited to serve their country and promote the interests of the CIA and their government.
After many years of service at the agency, however, each of them could no longer deny the cold truth that the interests they were serving clearly were not those of the people of the United States. Watch the engaging 45-minute documentary Secrets of the CIA at the link below to learn more.

Insight Course: Lesson Four

Hidden Agendas of the
Military/Industrial Complex

Part Two of Two
The  inforation provided here will take you into some rather dark, disturbing places which still exist in our world. How are you feeling right now with all this? Have you slipped back into feeling like a victim? And how did all of this secrecy and disregard for human life come to be? Why did we collectively allow this to happen? What can we do about it? These are not easy questions, yet ultimately we can remember the unlimited potential within us and the collective power we share when we come together to work for change.

It is important also to explore how we, as individuals, may have played a role in all this. Several questions deserve attention. How often do we avoid talking about or dealing with conflict in our own lives because we're afraid we might make matters worse? How often do we choose not to get involved in the conflicts around us because it's the easy way out?

A powerful poem by German pastor Martin Niemoeller on his choice not to act during World War II exemplifies how people succumbed to polarization propaganda.
First They Came
In Germany they came first for the Communists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist.

Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.
Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant.
Then they came for me,
and by that time no one was left to speak up
.

When we see a friend or colleague making choices which may cause harm physically or emotionally, do we step up and offer wise counsel? It is our silence, avoidance, and lack of action that often allows conflict to grow and fester until finally, one day, we find ourselves facing a major battle which might have been avoided had we acted earlier.
Let us choose awareness now so that we can stop the destructive behavior and invite all of us, each in our own time, to move towards being the change. We can build the world we want to see. We can and will transform the need for war. Let us start by letting go of negative judgments and finding the places where each of us support the polarizing mentality of war inside of ourselves and in the world. Let us give love and forgiveness to these parts.

Our Deepest Fear
By Marianne Williamson

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness
That most frightens us.

We ask ourselves
Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.

Your playing small
Does not serve the world.
There's nothing enlightened about shrinking
So that other people won't feel insecure around you.

We are all meant to shine,
As children do.
We were born to make manifest
The glory of God that is within us.

It's not just in some of us;
It's in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine,
We unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we're liberated from our own fear,
Our presence automatically liberates others.

Note: This inspiring quote is taken from Marianne Williamson's book A Return to Love. Though often quoted as part of Nelson Mandela's moving inaugural speech, "Our Deepest Fear" does not appear in the speech. Marianne Williamson herself has commented on this mistaken attribution.
