The above documentary was filmed in 1987 before the fall of the Berlin Wall. Once the wall came down and the long-standing Soviet threat was gone, the power elite, dependent on defense sales to pad their pockets, needed a new threat.
Several think tanks, including the highly influential Project for the New American Century found their needed threat in Islamic fundamentalism, particularly in the oil-rich Middle East. How much of this threat was fostered or even created by the global elite?

I watched an older documentary by Turner broadcasting which focused on the intriguing stories of 5 former CIA agents, each originally excited to serve their country and promote the interests of the CIA and their government.
After years, however, each could no longer deny the hard cold truth that the interests they were serving clearly were not those of the people of the United States.

Now we will move on to something along happier lines, but before we do, please notice where, in watching details of the dark side of our world, you may have felt like a victim and/or blamed others for problems in our world. Did these feelings, in any way, serve you or those around you? Explore ways in which you can take back your own power by working to accept and understand the harsh realities in our world and choosing to make a difference. Explore how you can develop acceptance that this is happening, yet work towards changing the dynamic so that all involved feel supported and empowered. Work towards accepting all people right where they are, yet inviting change through respect and personal example. This paragraph will be repeated again at the end of the blog.
