Panorama investigates claims that as much as $23bn (£11.75bn) may have been lost, stolen or not properly accounted for in Iraq. When the US goes to war, corporate America goes too. There are contracts for caterers, tanker drivers, security guards and even interrogators, many of them through companies with links to the White House. Now more than 70 whistle-blower cases threaten to reveal the scandals behind billions of dollars worth of waste, theft and corruption during the Iraq war.
A total of $23bn (£11.75bn) is under scrutiny. The US justice department has imposed gagging orders which prevent the real scale of the problem emerging. But Panorama’s Jane Corbin has spoken to some of those involved – with astonishing stories to tell of who got rich and who got burned.
She hears allegations of mismanagement, fraud and waste; tales of contractors chosen for their US government connections without a competitive bidding process; contractors inflating their costs and double counting to increase their profits and billions supposed to be used to rebuild the Iraqi military allegedly ending up in the pockets of some Iraqi government officials.

For those unfamiliar with the term false flag terrorism, here is a definition from Wikipedia

"False flag operations are covert operations conducted by governments, corporations, or other organizations, which are designed to deceive the public in such a way that the operations appear as if they are being carried out by other entities. The name is derived from the military concept of flying false colors; that is, flying the flag of a country other than one's own. False flag operations are not limited to war and counter-insurgency operations, and have been used in peace-time; for example, during Italy's strategy of tension."

In other words, when a government or other entity secretly pretends to be it's own enemy and launches an attack against itself, this is called a false flag operation. 

This is done to fool unsuspecting people into believing that there is a greater threat than actually exists, and to manipulate the public into supporting war agendas. For clear examples of how this has shaped history, click here.

For an important example of a false flag operation that never happened, yet that nevertheless clearly shows how global politics can be manipulated, please read about Operation Northwoods through the declassified U.S. government documents released on this operation at the link below:


The only reason these documents were released by the U.S. government is that the operation was never carried out. If Operation Northwoods had been carried out, the documents would never have been released. Those involved would have invoked "national security" to keep them secret. There are laws which allow plans actually put into operation which allegedly affect national security to remain classified indefinitely.

It is through use of the highly organized military and intelligence services that the power elite, working together with key allies in government and the media, are able to carry out major false flag operations. The Northwoods documents, for example, state "responsibility for both overt and covert military operations [will] be assigned the Joint Chiefs of Staff," showing that very few even in the military would know how the public was being deceived.

Having an inefficient, at times bumbling government bureaucracy actually makes it easier for the elite to manipulate politicians and laws. And should anyone claim that the government is carrying out a false flag operation or some kind of conspiracy, the power elite and their media baron buddies disingenuously point out how ridiculous such claims are when government is so inefficient.
Meanwhile the military and intelligence services are not only used to promote these operations, they also promulgate sophisticated disinformation to lead astray any who might investigate the secret manipulations. False flag operations give the pretext for war needed by the elite to maintain their power and rake in the huge profits and power that war brings them.

Let's not forget the greater perspective in all this. What's really going on here? Consider that many people from all walks of life get caught up in greed and the desire for power. Some get so caught up in it all that they end up being involved in severe manipulation of public perception for the personal benefit of themselves and those close to them.

THE ISRAELI LOBBY

Is one allowed to question that reality, or is the pro-Israel lobby so strong, financially and politically, that the relationship with Israel is taboo and therefore unmentionable? And what happens to those who dare expose the unmentionable? In March 2006 the American political scientists John Mearsheimer (University of Chicago) and Steve Walt (Harvard) published the controversial article 'The Israel Lobby and US foreign policy'. In it they state that it is not, or no longer, expedient for the US to support and protect present-day Israel. Together with the power shifts in Congress and the increasing doubts about the current Middle-East policy, this could become the fuse in the powder keg. Backlight talks to the people concerned in this 'new realism' debate. The documentary sheds light on both parties involved in the discussion: those who wish to maintain the strong tie between the US and Israel (Neocon Richard Perle, the Lebanese Christian Brigitte Gabriel and evangelist John Hagee, the lobby club AIPAC), and those who were critical of it and not infrequently became 'victims' of the lobby. Member of Congress Earl Hilliard from Alabama advocated a rapprochement with the Arab world and was promptly ousted by a political adversary who had the support of Aipac money.

The historian Tony Judt, who tried to maintain that Israel was becoming a belligerent and intolerant ethno-state, driven by religion, found a lecture canceled at the last minute. And the Human Rights Watch Director Kenneth Roth was personally attacked after he had criticized the violence Israel had used in the mini-war against Lebanon last summer. Finally the question arises in how far the pro-Israel lobby ultimately determines the military and political importance of Israel itself. Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson (Colin Powell's ex chief-of-staff) explains in how far the lobby's influence affects the decision-making structure in the White House. Member of Congress and Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich is asked in how far today's politicians can stay out of reach of the long arm of the pro-Israel lobby. The lobby, Congress, the White House and Israel itself seem to have ended up in a suffocating embrace: will it ever change and how could it?

This is a well made film. Due to the influence of the lobby, this film could not be filmed by the United States but rather by a news station in the Netherlands. The topic of Israeli influence in the United States is one which faces incredible censorship whenever there is an attempt to discuss it. At the heart of this matter is AIPAC a powerful organization who influences US policy. The Israeli Lobby influence is so strong in both parties that relationship between the US and Israel will probably not change regardless of whether republicans or democrats are elected. I do not personally agree with the commentator/maker of this next upcoming documentary.  I believe that the whole documentary set out to disprove God and the second coming of Christ.  Now, please remember that this is my own opinion.  I, also, do not agree with some of the people interviewed, although other people interviewed were very sensible and appeared to be looking for legitimate answers.  However, I believe that everyone should have their say (it’s up to each of us to decide for ourselves) so I have chosen to include it here.

Note:  Something that may be helpful here when taking this all in, is that we are told that the anti-Christ will have a damaged eye … in ancient literature (it actually calls him ‘one eyed”
  whatever that will mean); this is the only hint we have to be able to spot him know that he is not the true Christ. …. And perhaps the mark of the beast will be a barcode on us, or an implant (Verisign).
What is the real source of these ideas that so many people attribute to the book of Revelation? Whoever wrote it sheltered in a cave on the Greek island of Patmos, probably a refugee from is Roman occupied Palestine. He is also likely to have consumed the local hallucinogenic magic mushrooms.

There are some 40 apocalyptic books from this era but this was the only one that made it into the Bible.  If the author was writing about the hated Roman Empire, it could be that the seven heads of the beast meant the seven emperors.
